This is a six week course with sessions running 7:30-9:30pm on the following Tuesdays:
January 7, 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11.

Classes are for students aged 18+
Prerequisites: Improv 101 & 201 (formerly Intro to Improv Part 1 & 2), or 30 hours of improv experience, or equivalent. Email Devin if you have questions about your level of improv.
Characters are core to every improv scene. Learn tools to create rich, detailed characters in the blink of an eye. Develop your skills in forming great relationships and onstage chemistry with your scene partners. This is a six week course.
Instructor: Devin Kotani
Devin Kotani (he/him) holds a BFA in drama with a focus in acting from the University of Calgary, and has been practicing and performing improv for over 10 years. Joining the Kinkonauts at the end of 2021 for the abridged 2022 season, Devin has performed with such groups as KFP, Wuthering Frights, and Improvised Romeo and Juliet. He has also acted as an instructor for the Calgary Improv School and the Accelerator drop-in class, and is currently the Director of the Calgary Improv School. Devin is currently pursuing a BA in psychology at the University of Calgary, and is very interested in exploring the ways psychology and live performance interact.
