Telling effective and entertaining stories is what improvisers strive to do! A strong beginning, surprising middle, and satisfying ending are the equation to a great improvised story. Put your skills to work creating scenes your audience will love, in this intermediate workshop.
Note: If 13 or more registrations occur, this class will be split into two separate classes running simultaneously in different rooms with different instructors. Students who register will be notified if this split occurs, and will be given the option to indicate instructor and classmate preferences.
Instructor (class 1): Anton Matyushin
Anton Matyushin is a comedian based in Calgary. With over 10 years of experience combined in improv, standup, and sketch, he's performed on stages all across the country, and has trained at various renowned comedy theatres in North America such as the iO and The Annoyance in Chicago.
Instructor (Class 2): Brian Gashgarian
After getting a taste for live theatre in his early twenties, Brian has been performing on and off for most of his adult life in some capacity or another; be it through music, stage combat, podcasting, or improv. Joining the Kinkonauts in 2023, Brian has been lucky to learn from incredibly talented improvisers and teachers, and given the opportunity to perform in a number of Kinkonauts main stage productions, such as: Wuthering Frights, Love at Christmas, and Improvised Macbeth. He's excited to have found a wonderful band of weirdos to play make believe with!
